LitteL.G.'s Surgery Day

Today LittleL.G. had her adenoids out, tubes put in and a frenectomy. I have been worrying about it for months, but it went so much better than I could have imagined.

The hospital staff was great. Other than a lot of waiting at the front end, she went in and was out in 40 minutes.

She had a rough wake up, but seems to be doing well. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Back at Home...

...Just in time for the Laurie Berkener Concert!

We made it home without incident. The trip felt long, as it always does coming back from vacation, but the kids were great in the car. Now lots of unpacking and getting back in the groove of normal sleep and less excitement.

Right after the concert we went to today!

The girls love Laurie Berkener, thanks to our amazing family yoga class. So when I saw that she was coming to Saratoga way back in the winter, I bought tickets.

She was great and the girls and I had a blast!

VA: Day 3

Today we had to fit a lot into our last day in Virginia with Auntie Jen. It was the warmest day of the week so we had to do all the warm weather activities!

The day started with an exciting milestone for BabySlimJim (which he has been doing for over a week, just not when I've been watching)!

Then an exciting trip to the Home Store for me (like Home Goods on crack)!

Our favorite Virginia Playground came next- it was fantastic weather for it.

Then off to the beach. MiniM.E. thought she might swim but the breeze off the beach made it WAY too cold. So it was seagull feeding and shell finding instead.

After a dinner out, we headed to the Botanical Gardens for Lantern Asia- an amazing display of lanterns along the paths. Even though the girls were tired, we all enjoyed seeing them. It was definitely worth stay up until dark for!

We have had a great vacation! Disappointed that we have to head back tomorrow...

VA: Day 2

Today our big trip was to the Living Museum. It came highly recommended and we needed a change from our yearly zoo trip. While we were hoping for spring weather here, it didn't feel much like spring today. Pretty chilly and breezy. While the outside animal enclosures didn't last long for the girls because of the weather, everyone enjoyed all the inside activities the museum had to offer.
